Refurbishment
A refurbishment of a typical property from the year 1900 is a gentle affair. In short, it is to pare the construction to discover the raw walls and the main beams. Hidden weaknesses and errors will then be repaired, and the building will be rebuilt after the current standards of renovation.

Renovation of supporting structur
Old wooden floor and bad beams will be replaced with a new floor with modern soundproofing insulation and new beams. |

Masonry examined
All the walls are carefully examined for fungus and humidity during the renovation - from inside out and possibly bad masonry is replaced. |

The entire front - including roof, windows and doors is replaced
The house facade is renovated, so it appears as new. All windows and doors will be replaced in accordance with current standards for low energy windows. External walls are isolated usually from the inside not to change the old building's original expression. |

New installations everyway
Pipes, electricity networks, supply of water, heating and radiators are replaced completely. Also cables for door telephone and antenna installations are replaced. All the property's key installations such as electrical, gas boilers, etc. will be completely updated from the latest standard.

Doors and frames preserved
Properties from the 1900s have doors and door frames much more charming than those available today and often of better quality. Those shall therefore be renovated, if possible. When walls have to be moved, the doors and frames is taken out and put back again later. Stucco in the ceiling is normally preserved, but if very worn, it will be replaced. |

Renovation of backyard
Old cement or asphalt on the ground in the courtyard is taken out and replaced with a new green garden: Typical with plants, a playground and a shell for bicycles. Facade renovation, new doors and windows are putted in.

Detail maintained
Worthfully details and cuts, such as handrails mosaics etc. will be preserved and protected during the construction work. Only professional craftsmen will do the repairing job in the conservation areas, so the refurbishment will appears in the same quality as new. |
